Card Medic Limited is an SME providing digital health communication services. Our operating model is predominantly digital, with no manufacturing activities, no company vehicle fleet, and limited physical infrastructure.
We take a proportionate approach to sustainability that reflects both our responsibility to reduce environmental impact and the scale and nature of our organisation.
Carbon Reduction Plan
In line with UK Government procurement guidance (PPN 06/21), Card Medic Limited maintains a proportionate Carbon Reduction Plan suitable for an SME delivering digital services.
Baseline and Scope of Emissions
Baseline year: not formally established. Card Medic Limited will define a formal baseline if and when detailed emissions measurement becomes proportionate to the scale and complexity of the organisation.
Due to the nature and scale of our operations, our emissions profile is considered to be low.
Scope 1 (Direct emissions)
Card Medic Limited has no known direct emissions sources. We do not operate company vehicles, undertake fuel combustion activities, or run manufacturing facilities.
Scope 2 (Indirect electricity emissions)
Limited indirect emissions may arise from electricity used in office-based and remote working environments.
Scope 3 (Other indirect emissions)
Potential indirect emissions are primarily associated with business travel (minimal), employee commuting, home working, and the use of digital and cloud-based services.
As a small SME, Card Medic Limited currently takes a proportionate and pragmatic approach to carbon reporting. We do not publish detailed quantified greenhouse gas emissions data and will review this position periodically as the organisation evolves.

Given our digital-first operating model, Card Medic Limited already undertakes measures that support reduced environmental impact, including:
- Predominantly remote and flexible working
- Minimal business travel, with virtual collaboration used as standard
- Limited use of physical materials and paper
- Use of cloud-based digital services where possible
Net Zero Commitment
Card Medic Limited supports the UK Government’s ambition to achieve Net Zero emissions.
In line with a proportionate approach for an SME, we aspire to work towards Net Zero emissions by 2050, recognising that our operating model is already low carbon by design. This commitment will be reviewed periodically as the business develops.
