Accessibility statement.
Accessibility is not a compliance exercise for us. Half the people CardMedic exists to help are excluded by something other than language, so an inaccessible product would defeat its own purpose.
The standard we hold
We hold this website and the CardMedic application to WCAG 2.2 AA, and conformance is assessed as part of our release process. Testing is manual with assistive technology as well as automated, because automated tooling alone finds only a fraction of real barriers. Where a release does not meet the standard in some respect, that is recorded and prioritised rather than waived.
- Screen reader testing on desktop and mobile
- Keyboard-only journeys through every core task
- Contrast, reflow, text spacing and 200% zoom
- Reduced-motion and forced-colours support
How we build
Accessible formats – Easy Read, Read Aloud and sign language – are produced with the communities who use them, not generated and hoped for. Sign language is a first language, not a plug-in.
Known limitations
No digital product of this size is fully conformant at every moment, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. Where we identify a barrier we record it, assess the impact on the people affected, and prioritise it against that impact. Known issues identified in our most recent testing, and where they sit in our plan, are available to customers and prospective customers on request as part of our accessibility documentation.
Tell us where we fall short
If something on this site or in the application blocks you, please tell us. Report it through our contact page or by email and we will acknowledge it within one working day, tell you what we have found, and give you a realistic view of when it will be addressed.
